About the author

Dr. Martin Kamprath

Hi there. This is my blog which started during my early days as a PhD student in 2010. In this blog I shed light on unconventional perspectives within innovation management and provides the innovation research community with announcements of Call for Papers.

Some facts about me:

I am advisor of technology transfer at the Helmholtz Association, the largest research organization in Germany. I govern the corporate venture program “Helmholtz Enterprise” and the Open Innovation program “Helmholtz Innovation Labs“. I also hold contact to academia while working with my former supervisor Prof. Katarina Hölzle, Chair for Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Potsdam.

I received my PhD in 2015 from the University of Potsdam with honors (“summa cum laude”).

Before, I was full-time researcher and PhD student at the University of Potsdam and worked in research and policy counselling projects in the Creative and Media Industries and in the Life-Science Sector. During my years as doctoral student, I worked in parallel as a business development manager in a science spin-off “Climate media factory“.

With a DAAD full scholarship in 2012 I spent a research stay at Ryerson University, Toronto.

During my student time at the universities Potsdam, Freie Universität Berlin and Corvinus University, Budapest, I worked in the marketing and strategy department of leading media firms.

From time to time I review articles for journals like Journal of Business Models, Creativity and Innovation Management and Long Range Planning.
